BEHIND THE LENS
I went to Columbia College in Chicago, and got my BA in Film/Advertising. Right out of college I got a full-time position at a high-end film and special FX house called The Filmworkers Club. I started out in the specialized area of film color correction, then became a commercial editor on Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere. During this time I also produced and directed several documentaries under my production company banner Backlight Productions. My documentary "Shattered Lives The Dean Olds Story" aired on The Sundance Channel.
10 years later I moved to Arizona to work for Great Scott Productions, starting as full-time editor, but I quickly moved into the role of Writer/Director/Producer. During this time I also wrote/directed several TV pilots, short films, commercials, and a scripted comedy web series called "Redo". My next role was as a full-time Producer in the marketing department at Isagenix International for 6 years, then as Executive Producer at Exclaim in Palatine Illinois.
I am currently freelance.
Please explore this website. I wrote, directed & produced everything on here, unless otherwise noted.
Some commercial clients I have worked with include: AT&T, Heinz, Pepsi, Fort McDowell Casino, George Brazil, Banner Medical Center, Chas Roberts, SARRC, Child Help, The Flinn Foundation, Native New Yorker, Pizza Hut, Arizona Burn Center, Arizona State Fair, Pet Smart, T-Gen, Saint Joseph's Hospital, Tucson Medical Center, Electric Applications Inc, Greenpeace, Girl Scouts Of America, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Isagenix International, ABC Supply.
